Dalby, Wendland & Co., P.C., is pleased to announce Paige A. Curtiss recently attained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation after passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, which is set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Uniform CPA Examination protects the public interest by helping to ensure that only qualified individuals become licensed as U.S. Certified Public Accountants.
Paige is a staff accountant with Dalby Wendland’s tax team. She joined Dalby Wendland in January of 2018 after graduating with a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. As a staff accountant, Paige assists individuals and businesses with income tax preparation. Locally, Paige supports businesses and the community as a Grand Junction Chamber Diplomat.
To attain a CPA license, qualified applicants must pass a four-part exam with 14 hours of testing in auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting, and regulation. The test is one of four requirements to attain CPA licensure in Colorado – education, ethics discipline, and experience is also needed. To maintain the CPA certification, licensees are required to take annual continuing professional education courses and other opportunities for professional development.
