Dalby, Wendland & Co., P.C., is pleased to announce Megan S. Loberg recently attained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation after passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, which is set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Uniform CPA Examination protects the public interest by helping to ensure that only qualified individuals become licensed as U.S. Certified Public Accountants.
Megan is a Colorado Native growing up in Berthoud. She attended Western State Colorado University and received Bachelor of Art degrees in accounting, economics, and business administration. Megan joined DWC’s Glenwood Springs office in January 2018. As a staff accountant, she provides general income tax preparation for individuals and businesses in multiple industries and particularly enjoys the unique work each industry requires.
To attain a CPA license, qualified applicants must pass a four-part exam with 14 hours of testing in auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting, and regulation. The test is one of four requirements to attain CPA licensure in Colorado – education, ethics discipline, and experience is also needed. To maintain the CPA certification, licensees are required to take annual continuing professional education courses and other opportunities for professional development.
Well done Megan! We are proud of you!
