Nathan A. Fyock, CPA, ABV, to Principal
Originally from Center, Colorado, in the San Luis Valley of southwestern Colorado, Nathan attained his accounting degree from Adams State University in Alamosa. Since joining the Firm in 2008, he has developed expertise in providing attest and accounting services such as financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed upon procedures for a variety of clients. His industry specialties include life and health insurance, third party health plan administrators, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, governmental entities, and employee benefit plans. Nathan also attained accreditation in business valuations (ABV) from the American Institute of CPAs in 2016 and provides valuation services in a variety of areas. He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs and serves on the finance committee of local nonprofit Marillac Clinic, and Federally Qualified Health Center in the Grand Valley.
Sabrina J. Hoyt, CPA, to Associate Principal
Raised in Nevada, Sabrina attained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. She’s been with Dalby Wendland for over a decade and is accomplished in tax return preparation and planning for individuals and businesses. Her client work and experience spans various industries, including insurance, construction, restaurant, not-for-profit, real estate, and farm and ranch. Sabrina is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs.
Rachel M. Schlepp, CPA, to Associate Principal
Rachel’s career in public accounting spans over 16 years. She joined Dalby Wendland’s Glenwood Springs office as a tax manager in 2015. During her time as a public accountant, she has worked with multinational businesses and small companies just getting started. Her prior professional experience also includes working as a bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Rachel’s expertise is in the areas of federal and multi-state tax for businesses and high net-worth individuals. She specializes in several industries, including real estate, construction, professional services, and not-for-profit. Rachel attained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Colorado Society of CPAs, serves as Advancement Chair for the local Cub Scout pack, and serves on the finance committee for Valley View Hospital Foundation.
Kelsa D. Tinsley, CPA, to Audit Manager
Kelsa provides audit and accounting services with Dalby Wendland’s audit team. She joined Dalby Wendland as an intern in 2011 while attending Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. After graduating in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a minor in computer information systems, Kelsa joined the Firm full time. Kelsa has experience in several industries, including manufacturing, financial institutions, life and health insurance, non-profits, institutions of higher education, and employee benefit plans. Kelsa also assists in preparing business valuations. She is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, and is a board member of the Grand Junction Air Show.
Jeff M. Wilson, CPA, to Audit Manager
Jeff joined Dalby Wendland in the fall of 2010 after he received his bachelor of science in accounting and master of business administration degrees from Rockhurst University, Kansas City. He provides auditing and accounting services to a variety of clients and industries including nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, construction, manufacturing, and country clubs. Jeff’s work also includes services to employee benefit plans, third party health plan administration, and loan servicing. He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs. Locally, he is active with various Grand Junction community nonprofit fundraisers, is a member of the Grand Junction Lions Club, and is a board member of the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County.
Michael D. Brooks, CPA, to Tax Supervisor
Michael came to the Grand Junction tax team as an intern in January of 2013. After attaining a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2007 from Colorado Mesa University, he returned to CMU and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, graduating in May 2013. He then joined the Firm full time. Michael analyzes financial information; prepares financial reports and schedules; prepares federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses and other organizations; and he excels at research projects. He is a member of the American Society of CPAs, Colorado Society of CPAs, and enjoys being an active member of Young Professionals Network of Mesa County and the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce Diplomats.
Amanda E. Malinchak, CPA, to Tax Supervisor
Amanda joined the Montrose office in 2012 after graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango. She specializes in small business and individual federal and multi-state taxation, and tax planning. Amanda serves on the board of Haven House, a local non-profit for transitional living, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Colorado Society of CPAs.
Mark W. Plantz, CPA, to Tax Supervisor
Mark attained an associate of arts in business degree from Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, CO, and a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, CO. He joined the Dalby Wendland Montrose office in August of 2013. His prior accounting experience includes work with a tax and audit firm, and a bookkeeping and payroll company in Durango. Mark specializes in small business and primarily works with real estate and medical clients. He frequently travels to consult with Dalby Wendland’s Telluride clients at the Firm’s satellite office in Telluride. Mark enjoys giving back to the Montrose community, especially to causes that support and promote business and benefit families and outdoors. He is the current board secretary for the Montrose Recreation District and a Montrose Rotary Club board director.
Jennifer S. Wright, EA, to Tax Supervisor
Jennifer started with Dalby Wendland in August of 2011 after graduating cum laude from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Earlier this year, Jennifer attained the designation of Enrolled Agent (EA), which is the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. Jennifer provides income tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses. She is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs.
Eric B. Haynes to Senior Tax Accountant
Originally from Montrose, Eric left to pursue college and attained a bachelor’s of business administration in business management degree from Colorado Mesa University. He later went back to school earning a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Colorado Christian University. After a decade working in the banking industry, including six years in branch management and four years in audit/compliance, Eric returned home to Montrose. He joined the Dalby Wendland team in May of 2017. As a senior tax accountant Eric provides general income tax preparation for individuals and businesses. Eric is very active in the Montrose community as a member of Rotary. He also handles the accounting needs for Pope John Paul II Academy, is a member of the Security Team at Rosemont Baptist Church, and coaches t-ball with a boys and girls baseball team for Pope John Paul II Academy students.
Jennelle L. Ochoa to Senior Tax Accountant
Jennelle joined the Dalby Wendland tax team as an intern in early 2016 and joined the Firm full-time later that year after graduating from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Jennelle provides individuals and businesses with income tax preparation.
Katie J. Taylor, CPA, to Senior Tax Accountant
Katie grew up in Longmont, CO. She attended Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, graduating cum laude from the honors program with degrees in professional accounting and business administration with an emphasis in resort management. She joined Dalby Wendland in May of 2016 after graduation. Katie provides general income tax preparation for individuals and businesses and has a special interest in working with small business owners. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
