Our number one priority is the safety of our staff, families, clients, and community. DWC Leadership is closely monitoring national, state, and local recommendations and response to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure we have the most updated and correct information, and to do our part in keeping our clients, employees, and communities safe from exposure.
We are actively assessing and pursuing ways to support staff and their families while continuing our professional focus on providing clients with quality and timely service. We are continually communicating with our staff, including best practices from reliable sources on how to stay safe, and have put measures in place to limit exposure within the office and with clients.
Here are some ways we can partner together to stay safe:
- No in-person meetings or visits to our offices at this time. We would love to see you and know this is difficult! Our professionals are prepared to collaborate and work with you in other ways, including phone, email, or video conferencing via our Zoom platform.
- Clients providing needed documentation. We have secure and free ways for you to provide us needed tax or other documentation to work on your engagement. In addition to mailing options, access our secure file transfer service (LeapFile) or upload the information to your DWC Client Portal (login credentials required for the Portal). If you do not have a Client Portal set up, contact your DWC representative for access. Please do not send confidential and personal information via email.
If you are not able to provide documents electronically to us per the above options, please call us and we will find the best way to exchange needed information. In addition, for Glenwood Springs’ clients, we have a convenient and secure “drop box” located just outside the front doors of the building.
We are also watching communications on guidance from the IRS and The Department of Treasury regarding deadline extensions and other actions being taken. We will keep you informed as that information becomes available.
Communication is important and we will let you know of any updates or changes as we keep a close pulse on this issue, including further changes to IRS deadline extensions or directives. You may also stay up to date on DWC communications by connecting with us via our website blog, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and our bi-monthly e-newsletter.
Thank you to our clients and communities – we are truly grateful for your support! We wish you and your families much health and safety.
Warm regards,
Chris West, CEO
